There’s no denying that scientists have always been very important 
for humanity because of the great amount of things they have contributed
 so that we have the society we do at present. Most of the things we use
 on a daily basis like electricity wouldn’t exist if it hadn’t been for 
the dedication of scientists. When compared to other jobs, it’s 
noticeable how the majority of scientists have stood down from their 
personal lives in order to help others. As a matter of fact, there are 
records of some scientists who had to out up with a lot of persecution 
but who didn’t give in to pressure to make some amazing discoveries. In 
an attempt to thank scientists from all over the globe let’s have a look
 at the list of top 10 scientists of the world.

1- Albert Einstein

If you have a look at the past life of Albert Einstein, you would 
have never believed that he was not able to speak until he turned three 
years old and could only learn to read when he was 8 years old. The same
 boy was also capable of becoming one of the best scientists in the 
history of the world. Even when he had to go through a lot in his life, 
he was able to be awarded a Noble Peace Prize for making amazing 
contributions to the field of physics with his theory of relativity.

2- Sir Isaac Newton

Sir Isaac Newton is believed to the one of the most important 
scientists of his days. Similar to Aristotle, Newton was a very 
knowledgeable man on several fields including mathematics, natural 
philosophy and physics among other things. Newton is really famous for 
making contributions to trying to explain three different laws of motion
 and the gravitational law. Even when he had a very difficult life, he 
was able to overcome all obstacles in order to become a great scientist.

3- Galileo Galilei

Even nowadays, Galileo Galilei is thought to have contributed one of 
the most important things to the world. In spite of the fact that he had
 to deal with persecution on behalf of the church for his believes, he 
wasn’t discouraged and continued working on his theory that is useful 
even at present. Galilei was a physicist, a philosopher and an 
astronomer so he was able to create two important laws of motion and a 
telescope.

4- Charles Robert Darwin

In the fourth position of our list of top 10 scientists of the world 
we have Charles Darwin even when there are many people who claim that he
 was a real scientist. He made amazing contributions related to the 
origin of man and he travelled a lot throughout the world only to prove 
that his theory was right.

5- Aristotle

He is world famous because he was one of the most important 
philosophers of his days. He was a very knowledgeable man on several 
fields, which is not very common for scientists. He made contributions 
to zoology, physics, politics, logic, biology and ethics to name but a 
few. Even when Aristotle lived centuries ago we can still see how 
important his contributions were.

6- Thomas Edison

There are not many scientists who have been able to create and patent
 more than 1000 items just like Thomas Edison did. In some way, very 
similarly to Einstein, Thomas Edison had some difficulties learning. 
Amongst some of his best inventions we can mention the light bulb and 
the phonograph.

7- Alessandro Giuseppe Antonio Anastasio Volta

Volta, who was from Italian descent, was able to contribute to the 
world of science by creating the electric storage cell. He was so 
important that the electric unit that is used to measure electricity, 
Volt, gets its name for Volta, who made one of the best contributions in
 the world.

8- Stephen Hawking

Following the death of Albert Einstein people didn’t really think 
that it was the end of the scientist’s age but apart from the several 
amazing scientists that lived in the 20th century it’s 
impossible not to include Stephen Hawking. He is world famous for two 
renowned theories namely the Big Bang theory and the Black Hole theory. 
Apart from that, he has been a professor in the field of mathematics at 
the University of Cambridge so he continues to contribute.

9- Louis Pasteur

Louis Pasteur is famous for having contributed to the medical world. 
Pasteur was the first one to talk about a theory of germs, which is 
still used and studied in the field of microbiology.

10- Sir Jagadish Chandra Bose

Sir Jagadish Chandra Bose is world famous for having contributed to 
the world with the creation of microwave and radio. He is the firs 
Bengali scientist in our list but he has been able to make some 
outstanding contributions that might, one day, change the world.

The list we have created is only an attempt to let people know who 
were some of the most important scientists in the world but that doesn’t
 imply that scientists who don’t appear in the list haven’t contributed 
to the world. Since the world as well as technology is constantly 
advancing, scientists are always making contributions that try to find 
more affordable and efficient ways to use electricity. For example,
